Market Harborough Building Society, who sponsored two of the "Harborough by the Sea" days held between Saturday 1st and Wednesday 5th August, also raised funds for LOROS during the event.

They sponsored buckets and spades for the children to play in the sand as well as the awards for the sand castle competitions. A voluntary donations raised from buckets and spades went to LOROS.

Adrian Walker, Senior Fundriaser at LOROS, said: "The Building Society very kindly invited us to share their stall so we took the opportunity to organise a “Hook a duck” stand which was Alt textvery popular.

"It was a pleasure to be part of this very successful event in Market Harborough and the total raised was £169.48. This could be used to pay for 17 patients to be collected from home for their day therapy at the Hospice, so thank you to everyone who donated - your contributions truly do make a difference."

Lynn Burton, Marketing Manager at Market Harborough Building Society added: “Thank you to Adrian and Magda from LOROS for joining us in some ‘fun in the sun’.

"The whole event was a great success – the weather was kind to us and we managed to raise some money for a very special cause.”
