After yet another year of fundraising for LOROS, Rob Palmer, Liz Beresford-Brown and Caroline Palmer, from Palmers Garden came to present their latest cheque to the Hospice.

Throughout 2014 the centres, at Enderby and Ullesthorpe, raised more than £7,000 by organising tombolas, bake sales, raffles and fundraising games for their customers. The staff took part in a sponsored skydive and organised a very successful Tribute Night and Dinner.

They also participated in the LOROS Accumulator Challenge raising £2,660 in 2014 and smashed that total this year with their amazing achievement of £5010.05.

Palmers have been supporting LOROS in various way since 1995 but during the last three years both of the centres have been particularly active with their fundraising for the Hospice.

They grand total to date is almost £23,500. This is an amazing achievement that could cover the cost of a Community Nurse Specialist to visit 235 patients in their homes, providing free care and support to both the patients and their family members. That is a really fantastic contribution that they should be extremely proud of.

Magdalena Korytkowska, Fundraising Co-ordinator at LOROS, said: “The Palmers Garden Centre team is wonderful; they are not only our supporters but fantastic friends too. It’s very comforting to know that they are there if we need their help.

"As well as all their fundraising efforts they also support us with plants for props at our events, join in our campaigns and events, sponsor raffle prizes, invite our Lottery promoters to their stores, and host a LOROS donation station”

If you would like to see first-hand the Palmers Team’s amazing support to LOROS remember to book your tickets for their fabulous Tribute Night & Dinner on 26th September and celebrate our 30th Anniversary with them.
