Hollyoaks actor Charlie Clapham is giving his fans the chance to get pierced by him as part of his support for LOROS' 30 For 30 campaign.

The star, who plays Freddie Roscoe in the Channel 4 soap, will be returning to Leicester especially to raise money and awareness for the Groby Road hospice.

Charlie, whose family owns Kazbah tattoo and piercing shop, in the city centre, will be giving all of the proceeds from the first 30 customers on that day to LOROS.

"Being a Leicester lad, I knew I had to get involved with LOROS' 30 For 30 campaign," said 24-year-old Charlie.

"As soon as I saw they wanted people to do 30 things for the hospice, it was a no-brainer – I decided I was going to do 30 piercings for them."

Charlie, who has been playing Freddie for more than two years, grew up in Humberstone, Leicester, before moving to Liverpool, where the soap is filmed.

"I always look forward to going home but this trip will be extra special for me," he said.

"To know I'm going to be part of LOROS' 30th birthday celebrations is fantastic and I can't wait to help raise some money for them.

"It's going to be a fun day, I can't wait. So get yourselves down to Kazbah and get a piercing done.

"Who needs a better excuse than knowing it's for charity?"

The date of Charlie's 30 For 30 piercing event is yet to be confirmed.
