Balfour Beatty recently organised a Health, Safety & Wellbeing awareness event for their employees at the De Montfort University site. LOROS was invited to join them, along with other charities and commercial businesses.

Elaine Godber, Corporate and Community Relations Co-ordinator at LOROS said: “It was an interesting experience for us to join this event, under cover of the new building - Balfour Beatty builders and engineers are doing incredible work on this site.

"We would like to thank Tracy Hope for her kind invitation and for continuing to support LOROS by hosting a LOROS Donation Station, encouraging employees to donate unwanted clothing and other items for sale in our charity shops and for supporting LOROS via lotteries and scratch card sales at regular intervals throughout the year.

"The support we receive helps to make a difference to 2,500 patients and their families each year."

Tracy Hope, Site Secretary at Balfour Beatty added: “As well as it being a safety and wellbeing awareness event, we also used the opportunity to fundraise. We are pleased to confirm that the raffle organised on the day raised a fantastic £75.00 for LOROS.”
