Frock and Fizz bubbles with excitement

The first ever Frock & Fizz shopping event took place at LOROS at the end of Hospice week.

For just £5 entry fee, supporters were able to browse and buy pre-loved designer items, as well as new clothes and accessories.

Visitors to the event were also able to enjoy a lovely pamper by the team at Ragdale Hall Health Hydro and Thermal Spa while sipping on a glass of bubble thanks to staff from Marco Pierre White's restaurant.

Laura Betts, Events Lead at LOROS said: "The event was hugely successful both in terms of fundraising and also in raising awareness about LOROS and the services we provide.

"I loved how bright and welcoming the Hospice looked and we had some extremely encouraging feedback from guests saying how their pre-conceptions of what a hospice would look and feel like had been so very wrong!

"I would like to thank everyone who donated items especially for this event, to everyone who volunteered their time and to the Hospice shop volunteers who had to deal with the masses of people wanting to purchase drinks and Christmas cards!"

The event raised a grand total of £1,877 which could pay for a day of home visits by the Community Nurse Specialist team and for three patients to attend our day therapy service.

Thank you all once again for your support - we really do appreciate it .
