Staff from Qdos, in Leicester, recently visited the Hospice to present a cheque for £2,000 which they raised from their “Step into Space” mission.

Stepping from 8.15am on Friday until 8.15am on Saturday, Toni and her team, climbed 44058m – a total of 27-miles to the edge of space raising £4000 to be sharde between LOROS and Little Healing Hearts.

Magdalena Korytkowska, Fundraising Co-ordinator at LOROS said: "It was a pleasure to accept the cheque from Qdos and to show them around the Hospice.

"I know they worked extremely hard to raise this fantastic amount which could pay for the cost of three of our specialist nurses for almost a week - that is a marvellous achievement"

"I'm looking forward to continuing our assocaition with Qdos. I know they are planning more challenges for us in the future, including one big cycle around the Clock Tower in Leicester which will hopefully be supported by some of our local sportsmen.

"I would like to thank them once agan for their donation and wish them continued success with their fundraising for LOROS"
