Alcoa employees from Leicester raise more the £2,800 for LOROS

On Sunday 6th September 2015, 15 Employees from Alcoa Fastening Systems & Rings Leicester took part in The Wolf Run for 2015’s Alcoans in Motion event.

The Wolf Run is an approx. 10k off-road run featuring a series of man-made and natural obstacles located throughout the course. All employees successfully completed the course and really enjoyed the day with fantastic team spirit and team work,whilst raising money for a local chosen charity.

A total amount of £1,205.70 was raised by those taking part, which was donated to LOROS Hospice.

In addition $2,500 wasdonated by the Alcoa Foundation, through Alcoans in Motion (AIM) scheme, whereby a team of five or more Alcoa employee participate in walkathons, marathons or other group physical activities.

Magdalena Korytkowska, Corporate Fundraising Co-Ordinator for LOROS said: "I was delighted to meet most of the team so that I could congratulate them all on their success and thank them personally for their marvellous contribution to the Hospice.

"I would also like to take the opportunity to thank the Alcoa Foundation and the Alcoans in Motion (AIM) scheme for their donation to the team's fundraising efforts.

"The combined amount of £2,860,67 could pay for a day of home visits by the Community Nurse Specialist team and contribute towards the running of the day therapy service for a day and we are very grateful.
