On Friday 9th October children and staff at Ravenhurst School supported the annual LOROS Yellow Day campaign by holding a non-uniform day.

Richard McKenzie from the school said: "Elaine Godber and Magda Korytkowska from the charity delivered an inspiring assembly to the children sharing some of the wonderful work carried out by the charity.

"We know that LOROS is heavily reliant on fundraising and I would like to express our thanks to the school community for raising a fantastic £523.18."

Magda, Fundraising Co-ordinator at LOROS added: "It was my pleasure to join the staff and pupils during the LOROS Yellow Day and wonderful to see them all dressed up in their yellow outfits.

"The money they raised could be used to pay for 21 hours of care for one of our inpatients or for one of our Community Nurse Specialists to visit five patient in their own homes, providing free care and support to patients and their family members."

"The staff and pupils should be very, very proud of themselves; that is a really great contribution and is truly appreciated by everyone here at LOROS - thank you all.

"I am hopeful that the school will also be taking part in our Jolly Jumper Day campaign during December - I’m absolutely sure their pupils are going to love it!"
