Opus Trust staff raise £2080 for LOROS

Staff at Opus Trust Marketing in Leicester have been raising funds for LOROS throughout the past year and are pleased to donate £2080 to the local charity.

During 2015, OTM staff organised several fundraising events including a Six Nations rugby sweepstake, an auction of their gym equipment and pool table and honey sales.

Over the Christmas period staff also donated prizes for a raffle and participated in the LOROS Jolly Jumper Day, with one member even going to great efforts to create his very own Olaf costume!

Magdalena Korytkowska, Fundraising Co-ordinator at LOROS was invited to OTM to accept the cheque on behalf of the Hospice.

Magda said: "I thoroughly enjoyed working with the OTM Leicester staff. They have been associated with the Hospice since 2014 and we are very grateful for their continued support.

"They very kindly adopted us as their Charity of the Year for 2015 and their fundraising has raised a significant amount of money. As an example the £2080, presented to the Hospice recently, could be used to pay the cost of one of our specialist nurses to look after our inpatients for three weeks - thank you so much.

"I am delighted that Opus Trust Marketing have decided to make LOROS their Charity of the Year again in 2016. We have already discussed them taking part in a sponsored cycle and corporate volunteering activities as well as participating in the LOROS DECHOCS campaign in March and I am looking forward to working alongside them again,"
