LOUGHBOROUGH Ashmount School team members Tommy, Will and Kelsey Pattison received special certificates for taking part in the Loughborough Rotary Club Santa Fun Run as part of the Ashmount Team last December.

Between them they raised £160.

In total around 1,400 runners jingled all the way to the finish line on for the annual Santa Fun Run.

By signing up to the big event, organised by the Rotary Club of Loughborough, Santas were able to support local charities Rainbows, LOROS, Prostaid and Steps or a choice of their own.

The 5km event took place on Sunday, December 6, 2015, at 11am. Starting in Market Place, participants ran to the edge of the university and back through the park for a Town Hall finish.

Since the event has been in operation, a staggering £425,000 has been raised to help local causes.
