Wyggeston's Hospital & Agnes House recently held a Cheese and Wine evening where they celebrated raising £20,000 from their LOROS donation station.

The residents and staff have been making use of the donation station for three years and have donated a staggering 833 bags, with an estimated value of £25 each, which equates to an astounding £20,825.

Elaine Godber, Corporate and Community Relations Co-ordinator at LOROS said: "I was delighted to be able to attend the cheese and wine party organised by Wyggeston's Hospital & Agnes House and to present them with a thank you certificate from LOROS for their prolonged fundraising activities.

"As well as hosting the donation station, they also fundraise for the Hospice in other ways and presented LOROS with a cheque for £695 during my visit.

"Their combined efforts could pay for the cost of one of our specialist nurses for 30 weeks. What a wonderful gift - thank you all so very much from everyone at LOROS"
