PwC in the East Midlands has helped to raise £4,800 for LOROS.

PwC hosted its third annual quiz night for the charity at The Parcel Yard on Tuesday, 26 April 2016.

With nearly 100 people attending from 15 local organisations, £2,400 was raised through entry fees and raffle tickets. This has be match-funded by PwC to bring the total amount raised to £4,800.

Simon White, Quiz Master and Senior Manager at PwC in the East Midlands, said: “We are proud to support the great work LOROS does in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.

"This is the third annual charity quiz night we’ve hosted in the East Midlands to raise money for the hospice, and we’re delighted to say that we’ve raised £12,300 for LOROS over the past three years.

“Congratulations to the team from RBS Group on winning the 3rd PwC Annual Charity Quiz Night in aid of LOROS.

“Thank you so much to all of the local businesses who took part, we had a great night and we’re already looking forward to next year’s event.”

Magdalena Korytkowska, Corporate Fundraising Co-ordinator at LOROS, said: “We are very thankful to PwC for hosting this charity night as we rely on the fundraising efforts of the local community and businesses to help keep LOROS going.

"It costs us £7.5 million each year to be able to deliver our services, and while we do receive some funding from the NHS, we need to raise at least £4.5 million each year.

“Our sincere thanks also go to our very special guest on the night, Filbert Fox, who welcomed the guests and to Lea Mould from Digital Magic Creative for taking pictures at the event.”
