Bringing everything from jazz, to opera and pop, this year’s Raise The Roof event is a must for all the family.

Raising money for LOROS Hospice, ‘Singing For Fun’, a group of more than 300 singers, will be taking to the stage at De Montfort Hall on Sunday 29th May.

They will be joined by 25-man choir, The Heart of England Chorus, soloist Aoife Miralles and a wonderful group of young singers from Hall Orchard school, Barrow.

Anne Hughes, Director of Singing For Fun said: “We have performed at hundreds of public events, raising somewhere in the region of £100,000 for local and national charities.

“It is a pleasure to perform for LOROS at the wonderful De Montfort Hall and it is wonderful that our performers have all donated their time to what promises to be a spectacular event."

This year, there will be two performances taking place, a matinee at 2.30pm and an evening show at 7.30pm.

Adrian Walker, Fundraising Manager at LOROS said: “We are very excited once again to be connected with Anne Hughes’ Raise the Roof choir concert and look forward to a programme of quality sound and fun.

“The funds raised from the two concerts will contribute to the quality of care given to our patients and their families."

Tickets, starting from just £10, are available from the De Montfort Hall Box Office by calling (0116) 233 3111 or you can book online here
