A charity committee recently organised a family fun day to raise funds in memory of one of their colleagues.

Ian Vickers, Applications Consultant - Professional Services Department at Safe Computing and Chair and Treasurer of Charity Safe said: "Charity Safe, the Committee that organises Safe Computing’s Charity activity, organised this event as a small token of appreciation to LOROS for the care and support they provided to a much respected colleague and his family during a tremendously difficult time.

"Although this is the first time Safe has worked with LOROS, it certainly will not be the last. Safe is a family oriented company which was clearly reflected during our event, catering for young and old alike.

"Our aim is to identify as many future opportunities as possible so that we can continue to show our support to the local charities we already work with as well as to build our relationship with LOROS."

Magdalena Korytkowska, Corporate Fundraising Co-ordinator at LOROS added: “We would like to say a massive thank you to Charity Safe, the Committee and all the participants for their wonderful support.

"The team was delighted to join the event with Lionel the LOROS Lion. Our LOROS Lottery representative signed up 11 players during the fun day and Safe Computing is now hosting one of our donation stations which, we believe, is filling up very quickly!

"We are extremely pleased to hear that the event raised £1,322 for the Hospice; this amount is equivalent to the cost of nearly 53 hours of care for one of our inpatients and is an amazing contribution to the care we provide to our patients and their family members.

"We look forward to working alongside Safe Computing again soon.”
