On 29th October, LOROS Hospice is turning itself into a shopper’s paradise and wants you to come along.

The Frock, Swap and Shop event runs from midday until 3pm and will feature independent clothes, accessory and beauty stalls.

LOROS Fundraiser Dave Nicklin told us: "As the name of the event suggests, we want you get dressed up and come to the Hospice, swap a bag of unwanted clothes for a free gift and then shop to your hearts content."

He added: "As well as a room full of the best independent clothing, accessory and beauty stalls the county has to offer, you’ll also receive a complementary glass of fizz on arrival, have access to a special LOROS 'pop-up' shop and we’re very happy to welcome back Ragdale Hall to the Hospice, who will be setting up a small treatment room of their own for the event”.

The event finishes off the Hospice’s Frocktober campaign, which asks members of the public to host Frock Swap parties to fundraise for LOROS.

Based on the concept of 'swishing', these parties encourage you to get your friends and family to bring round all of their good quality, unused clothes and swap them with each other in return for donations to LOROS.

Dave said: "These parties are a great way to have fun with your friends, clear out your wardrobes, and find yourself a bargain, all whilst supporting a local charity.

"If you have any clothes left over from your party you can take them to any of our shops or exchange a full bag for a free gift at our Frock, Swap and Shop day."

To help plan your party, request a Frocktober Fundraising pack by emailing fundraising@loros.co.uk or ringing (0116) 231 8431.

Tickets to Frock, Swap and Shop cost just £5 and can be booked by calling (0116) 231 8431 or visiting loros.co.uk/frocktober
