Accumulator Challenge for LOROS

A record number of teams have already pledged to take part in this year’s LOROS Accumulator Challenge, which will see participants compete to see how far they can grow £50.

With over 33 teams signed up so far, the competition to see who is niftiest is definitely on, with schools, businesses and organisations alike taking on the challenge this spring.

Each team will be given £50 by LOROS, before they spend the next three months seeing how much they can turn it into.

LOROS Corporate Fundraiser Magdalena Korytkowska said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for our supporters to get their creative caps on, as they battle it out to see who can raise the most money.

“Best of all, anyone and everyone can take part in our Accumulator Challenge, it’s great to see people of all ages already getting their ideas flowing.

“It never fails to surprise me how innovative and resourceful people can be when it comes to this annual challenge for LOROS.

“As long as their activities are all legal and ethical of course, all ideas are welcome.”

The LOROS Accumulator Challenge is now in its fourth year and to date, has raised approximately £50,000 for the Hospice.

As well as competing to see who can grow their £50 to the highest amount, the teams will also be entered into the annual LOROS Accumulator Challenge Awards.

With awards for the ‘Most Innovative Idea’, ‘Most Engaging Idea’ and ‘Most Money Raised’ up for grabs, the Accumulator Challenge is always one to get participants creative juices flowing.

Jo Kavanagh, who gained the award for 'Most Innovative Idea' last year said: "The Accumulator Challenge came along at just the right time for me, as my Dad had recently passed away at LOROS. It was the perfect opportunity to do something in his memory and to say thank you to them for everything they did for Dad and our family.

"In the first week of the challenge I beat my target of doubling the £50 and was amazed to make a final profit of £655.

“I thoroughly enjoyed taking part in the challenge and would encourage everyone to give it a try.”

Teams have from 15th March until 14th June to see how much they can turn £50 into.
