Enjoy a ‘A Day at the Polo’ on 2nd July, complete with a four-course meal, created especially for the event by Kwoklyn, the brother of fashion guru, Gok.

Taking place at Rutland Polo Club, in Oakham, visitors will also be able to witness all of the thrills that the historic Assam Cup Tournament has to offer.

LOROS Event Lead Laura Betts said: “We couldn’t be more excited for our Polo Day, the newest addition to the LOROS calendar.

“The day is set to be a cocktail of wonderful food, Polo and of course a glass of bubbles, making it the perfect day out this summer.”

Kwoklyn will be giving visitors a taste of Asia with his bespoke menu created especially for the event.

Alternatively, if visitors would rather watch the tournament while enjoying their own picnic on the lawn, then that option is available too.

“With this being a fun event for all of the family, we’ve set out to make it as accessible as ever for all groups of people by adding the two varying packages,” added Laura.

“We’re hoping to make our first ‘A Day at the Polo’ a real success, with 250 places available in the hospitality tent and another 200 more people expected to descend on the picnic lawn.

“In the past year, LOROS has made a conscious effort to branch out more into the local community, including into Rutland and Uppingham area, so having our Polo Day taking place in Oakham this summer couldn’t come at a better time.

The event comes just months after LOROS announced they would be holding frequent consultant appointments at Uppingham Surgery.

More recently, LOROS Local has also been launched, which is making it easier for people across the city and county, including those in Rutland, to access information about the services the Hospice offers.

“Tickets for ‘A Day at the Polo’ are selling fast though, so don’t miss out on this fantastic summer’s day out,” said Laura.

Hospitality and Picnic tickets are available to purchase now for £60 and £7.50 respectively. For more information and to book, please call (0116) 231 8431 or visit loros.co.uk/polo
