Soapstar and LOROS Patron Charlie Clapham has announced he will be joining fundraisers at this year’s Colourfun Mile before hosting the paint rave, a brand new addition to the event.

The actor, who has recently spent some time in America, will be making Hinckley his first stop on Wednesday (7th June) when he is back visiting the UK this summer.

With just days to go until this year’s much anticipated event, more than 1,000 have already signed up to take to get showered in colour as they race through Hinckley town centre.

Charlie said: “LOROS will always be extremely close to my heart and when the team asked me if I wanted to join them at the Colourfun Mile I couldn’t be more excited that it tied in so well with my trip back home.

“How could I resist getting messy for LOROS by getting showered in a colour? The brighter the better if you ask me.”

In addition to the colour stations, there will also be a brand new glitter station, making its debut at this year’s event.

Topping off the Hospice’s annual event and making it the biggest to date will be a paint rave, hosted by Charlie.

The paint rave will see Charlie lead a countdown before participants throw extra paint over one another, to the beat of Leicester’s Sambando Band, who will be entertaining fundraisers throughout the whole event.

“The Colourfun Mile sounds like it’s going to be really fun, I just hope we get as many people there as possible,” added Charlie.

“I’m a big kid at heart and it’s times like this that my inner-kid comes out to play.”

This year’s Colourfun Mile begins at 7pm, from Station Road, in Hinckley.

There is still time to sign up ahead of the event by visiting loros.co.uk/colourfun.

Alternatively, people can sign up on the night.
