The East Midlands offices of international accountancy and advisory firm, Mazars, have raised over £1,350 for LOROS at their annual Ladies’ Afternoon Tea event.

LOROS delivers free care and support to terminally ill patients, their families and carers across Leicestershire and Rutland.

Taking place at Leicester’s Lumbers Jewellers, the event saw over 50 of Leicester’s business leaders come together to raise money for the cause.

The event also featured a silent auction and raffle with all proceeds going towards the cause.

Magdalena Korytkowska, Partnership Development Lead at LOROS, said: “We are very grateful to Senita and everyone at Mazars for organising such a successful event in aid of LOROS. It was a stunning afternoon at a very beautiful venue, which was buzzing with enthusiasm.

“Well done to Dominic and his team from Lumbers for making it all possible.

“Events such as this contribute greatly in helping to raise the £5 million we need to secure each year, in order to provide our services free of charge to our 2,500 patients and their family members. LOROS is extremely grateful to local businesses like Mazars and Lumbers whose support and commitment are very much appreciated. We look forward to working alongside them again in the future.”

Gurmit Nahal, Financial Planning Manager, at Mazars, said: “It really was a fantastic day and so lovely to spend the time with like-minded women in such a wonderful venue, steeped in history.

“I’d like to thank each and every person that donated their time and money to help raise money for this very worthy cause.”

Dominic Gomersall, Managing Director of Lumbers, said: “I’d like to thank Senita and the team at Mazars for all their hard work in organising this event. Being based in Leicester ourselves, it’s fantastic to be able to do something to help such a great local charity who work tirelessly to help those in need.”
