Wave goodbye to 2017, shake off those January blues and make 2018 the year you take on that ‘always wanted to do’ challenge while raising money for LOROS too.
Take in breathtaking views as you cycle from Vietnam to Cambodia, tackle seven kilometres of mud in The Mudnificent Seven or jump 13,000 feet out of a plane in one of the Hospice skydives, there really is a challenge to suit everyone.
If travelling overseas or travelling 100mph through the sky doesn’t whet your appetite, perhaps climbing to the top of Leicester’s iconic St George’s Tower, heading into the wild for a 36-hour survival challenge, or cycling to sunny Skegness might take your fancy.
LOROS Events Lead Andrew Ward said: “Everyone knows of the time old saying, ‘new year, new you’ so here at LOROS, we’re making things easier for people looking to tick something off their bucket list or take on a new challenge in 2018 by giving them a whole selection to choose from.
“We really do have a challenge for everyone and with the introduction of a couple of new events, as well as the return of a few favourites, we have plenty to choose from.
“And don’t worry if you are a first-timer to the world of challenges, we have anything from a one-mile fun run to a 10km walk around Leicester city centre, to ease you in.”
Kicking things off, LOROS will be holding a free information evening on Tuesday 30th January at 7pm, to discuss the Vietnam to Cambodia bike ride.

“Alternatively, if taking part in an event doesn’t suit you, maybe you want to challenge yourself to volunteer more or fundraise for LOROS,” Andrew added.
“We are always looking for more volunteers and always welcome new fundraisers, so get in touch and the team can then support you as much as possible.”
