A whole new shopping experience awaits…Challenge yourself to ‘Choose Charity and Shop LOROS’

Challenge yourself to choose charity and shop LOROS in 2018, you never know what you might discover.

From antique bargains found within the stock at Leicester’s very own treasure chest that is the LOROS Reuse Shop, to finding that perfect wedding gown at the Hospice’s Bridal Boutique, the 28 LOROS shops dotted around the city and county offer so much more than meets the eye.

Throughout the year, LOROS will be showcasing its huge range of stores by launching a campaign called ‘Choose Charity, Shop LOROS’, to try and dispel any myths surrounding charity shops while encouraging shoppers to step outside their comfort zone and try buying from a charity.

LOROS Trading Manager Jonathan Capewell said: “It seems that there is this common belief that charity shops, just like LOROS, are full of unwanted rubbish that people would find difficult to make use of but that could not be further from the truth.

“Our 28 shops cover a whole range of stock, from children’s clothes and toys to designer goods and books; there really is something for everyone.

“We hope that through showcasing our shops through marketing initiatives and across our social media, it will encourage people to step outside their comfort zone and try shopping at LOROS.”

Over the year, LOROS will be showcasing a selection of the shops via their social media pages and through a range of promotional initiatives.

“During January, our ‘shop of the month’ is our Reuse Shop, located on Gypsum Recycling Centre,” added Jonathan.

“Some call it an Aladdin’s Cave and others say it’s better than your average car boot sale, which shelves of pre-loved treats waiting to be discovered.”

In February, the campaign will feature the LOROS By Design Shop, in Leicester’s Market Street, with the Book Shop, in Queen’s Road the ‘shop of the month’ in March.

The team at the Hospice are also encouraging anyone who visits any of the shops to share their buys by posting their purchases on social media using the hashtag #shoploros
