As part of his visit, Jeff, who has played for a number of other world famous acts such as rock band Def Leppard and Sir Elton John, has kindly donated a number of items that will be raffled off on the day.

Prizes up for grabs include tickets to one of his concerts later on in the year, CDs and a pair of signed drumsticks.

Jeff said: “LOROS is an amazing charity which does so much for the local community, and I want to be able to support them as much as I can.

“I’m really looking forward to heading over to Spiral Scratch in July, to help them spread the word and hopefully encourage people to come along to experience the shop and the wonderful work they do.”

The quirky music shop which specialises in vinyl records and sells a vast range of CDs and DVDs will also be hosting a number of exciting free events throughout the month.

Adham Fisher, a volunteer at the shop and organiser of the events said: “I’m thrilled we’re showcasing our amazing shop this July.

“I’ve been working hard to set-up some quality live music events named ‘Spiral Scratch Sessions’, as well as inviting local artists and filmmakers to take to the stage to showcase their work.

“It’s going to be a busy month, and all events are being offered for free, so come down, browse our extensive range of music, and enjoy the fabulous entertainment we have lined up.” The ‘Choose Charity, Shop LOROS’ campaign will feature a different LOROS shop each month throughout the year, there are over 30 shops across the city and county, all offering so much more than you’d expect.
