Something fishy is going on in Leicester, as LOROS announce the theme of 2019’s Twilight Walk as Under the Sea.

The Twilight Walk, LOROS’ biggest event, will see thousands of women of all ages don their fishy fancy dress and pound the pavements in support of the charity.

Mermaids, flounders, crustaceans and female sea creatures of all kinds are invited to take to the streets to raise money for the Hospice.

LOROS fundraising Co-ordinator Abi Jarrom said: “LOROS is a fin-tastic cause, so gather your gull friends and spend an evening under the sea at our Twilight Walk! Early bird tickets cost just £10 so don’t be shellfish – book yours today!”

Last year more women than ever participated with 2,200 ladies walking, raising over £150,000 for the Hospice.

“This year we’d love to get even more women turning out,” added Abi. “LOROS support more than 2,500 patients and their families each year – we would love to get 2,500 women walking the Twilight Walk in 2019!”

The Twilight Walk will take place on Saturday 6th April 2019 and will once again start and finish at Leicester City’s King Power Stadium.

The event will include a huge bubble release – a marine-friendly alternative to the balloon release of previous years. In addition all women will receive an exclusive Twilight Walk 2019 t-shirt.

Penny Hill was one of the thousands of women who participated in 2018. She said: “The atmosphere was amazing! It was emotional and intense as we were all walking for someone, but also really joyful and celebratory. I can’t wait to do it again in 2019!”

To kick-start the fundraising effort, the first 400 people to open and receive a donation on their JustGiving page will also win a beautiful necklace, kindly donated by Argento, Highcross, Leicester.

Early bird tickets priced at £10 are available now at loros.co.uk/twilightwalk
