A huge thank you to everyone at Barlestone St. Giles Running Club who ran 5km laps of the village all day long from 6am until 6pm on Sunday 2nd October. They ran a cake stall alongside and managed to raise £149.16 in just one day.
LOROS Fundraising Co-ordinator Andrew Ward said: “It was a glorious day for it and a pleasure to join the club members for a couple of laps; it was fantastic to see both kids and adults alike getting involved. To have raised as much as they did from such a fun event is brilliant.”
The event was organised by Tony Walker who has been taking on numerous challenges throughout the year in aid of LOROS, including a bike ride to Skegness and the 3 peaks challenge. If you would like to support Tony, please visit: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/oneyearchallenge
