Hundreds of people made the most of the good weather when they attended the ever-popular Music in the Park which was organised by the Wigston Rotary Club and compered by Monica Winfield.
Families and friends began arriving as soon as the gates were opened at 5.30pm and began to set up their picnic tables; some even had candelabras and champagne!
The concert was opened by Ska Amanga who kept the crowd well entertained and soon had them dancing around the park.
They were followed by the Ratby Brass band who also accompanied the superb fireworks display at dusk.
Proceeds from the event will be donated to LOROS and Young Leicestershire (supporting young people to achieve their full potential).
We would like to say a massive thank you to all the organisers, stall holders, volunteers, supporters and everyone else who helped make the event such a resounding success.
