Magnificent seven cycle to Mablethorpe

Gallery

Seven intrepid riders and their brilliant support crew of family and friends set out from Cosby and cycled all the way to Mablethorpe to raise funds and awareness for LOROS.  Most of them on little shopper bikes!

Suzanne Churcher, who organised the event and was one of the cyclists, said: "Ben, Pete, Laura, Jonny, Tim, Mark and I would like to say a huge thank you to our support team, who followed us in vehicles, offering much-needed water, food and encouragement and all the folks who helped us by sharing photos and raising awareness through social media.

"Another massive thank you must go to everyone who gave so generously to help us, with cash and online donations, raise over £1,700 to date  - it would be great to reach £2,000 and you can help us get there by making a donation, no matter how small, here"

Debbie Dickman, Community Fundraising Co-ordinator at LOROS, added: "I am so pleased that Suzanne and her team had such a successful day - riding more than 100 miles is a massive achievement and we are all very proud of them.

"Their donation will help us to care for over 2,500 people across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland this year and we would like to add out thanks everyone involved in raising funds an awareness by taking part in this very arduous event."
