Family and friends of Carl Jennings have raised an amazing £1,024.61 after organising three events in his memory.
Tracey Eddie, Carl's daughter-in-law said: "LOROS is a truly amazing Hospice. My father-in-law Carl Jennings received care there August last year. The staff were absolutely amazing and as a family, we can’t thank them enough.
"Back in November, we organised a fireworks display for our village and surrounding villages. Rather than charge people to enter, we took LOROS buckets and a couple of the customers at our pub asked the public for donations.
"In December I asked for raffle prizes from people and we held a Christmas tombola in the pub and on Boxing Day the village held a duck race, so we sold ducks for LOROS.
"We held our very own Burns night in January and once again we asked for donations.
"We are delighted to have raised more than £1,000 for the Hospice and we hope our donation helps you in some way."
