Local Zumba instructor Laura Ross, along with the support of nine other Zumba instructors, hosted a 2-hour Zumbathon at Everyone Active Hunctote Pavillon at the beginning of April.
Laura decided to give something back to LOROS after experiencing their services first hand when her father died at the Hospice 10 years ago. She put all of her energy into organising the Zumbathon, which sold out with two weeks to go!
The event was supported by over 100 attendees from the local area, along with a Zumba wear pop-up shop. Local photographer David Garcia was also on hand to capture the events of the day.
Laura said: "The event was great fun, emotional and I was still buzzing with adrenaline days later."
LOROS Senior Fundraiser, Adrian Walker, added: “The energy and excitement was great fun to be a part of and it was very well supported.
"Laura and her supporters raised more than £2,800 which is incredible and Laura is already talking about doing it again next year but making it even bigger - we can’t wait to support her."
