On Saturday 30th November Santa's elves (aka Julie & Mike Collett, Tony Scutt and Kerry Whiteside were in Carillon Court, Loughborough and despite the freezing cold and fog, managed to raise £260.57.
The following Saturday Santa & Mrs Claus (Julie & Mike Collett) with their elf (Andy McCaughan) visited the Tesco store on Park Road, Loughborough where they had another great day, and collected a super £809.91.
Julie said: "The customers really appreciated our costumes and were very forthcoming about the wonderful care, love and commitment given by LOROS to their patients, families and carers. It is always a pleasure to support such a wonderful local charity."
Magdalena Korytkowska, LOROS Partnership Development Lead, added: "Julie and Mike, along with their supporters never fail to amaze us each year - they are such great supporters of the Hospice.
"Their annual Christmas fundraising is hugely appreciated by everyone and the £1,070.48 they collected this year could pay for one of our specialist nurses to look after our inpatients for 10 days. Thank you once again.
