LOROS were welcomed to attend Seagrave Church Carol Service recently where Ambassador Kathryn Oliver collected a cheque from the organisers of the Seagrave Wolds Challenge.
The Challenge is a 16-mile walk/run around the Charnwood countryside and has taken place at the beginning of November for the last 15 years. It brings together villagers and organisations to help out with this event.
The challenge had approximately 600 entrants who encounter lots of muddy footpaths and roads around the course. There were also lots of people involved in organising this event and many more who help out on in the morning with form signing, marshalling, manning water stations and making apple crumble and soup for the finish line!
Their £500 donation will help to pay for a day of complementary therapy for patients and carers so really will help make a difference.
