Engie team get hands on for LOROS

We were recently joined by Mark Brown and his team from Engie, who offered their expertise to help out with a practical job here at the Hospice.

The team of 6 were tasked with removing and replacing rotten timbers on one of our pergolas, located directly outside our dining & social area. The team removed, cut down, prepared and re-installed 4 large timbers which now leaves the area complete and ready to be painted at a later date.

Bruce Smith, Partnership Development Co-ordinator at LOROS said: “It was great to have Mark and the team from Engie here to help us with the pergola. Outside space is crucial to the Hospice and can make a huge difference to the well-being of our patients and their families. Seemingly small tasks like this are incredibly difficult for us to do, so hands-on support from our VolunTeams is crucial to keep everywhere in top condition!”
