Tim Olford determinedly ran over 50k in a two-week period in April in memory of his Dad Jim.
The 2nd April 2022 was the 5 years anniversary of his Dad passing away and Tim wanted to mark the occasion in a positive way and to thank LOROS for the way he was cared for and looked after in his final days.
Starting on the date of the anniversary day, his superb effort culminated with a 10k race at Prestwold Hall on 17 April 2022.
Tim said: "My Dad was so pleased to arrive at LOROS - I can picture his face when he first arrived - and he was so well cared for during the month or so he was there".
Having hoped for £1,000, Tim raised in excess of more than £2,000 - an amazing achievement!
After completing the last race he added: "It was a pretty emotional end to it all and my legs will hurt for a few days but I'm thrilled I could raise so much for LOROS! We are truly grateful for the difference it will make to many!
Emma Jones, Supporter Engagement Co-ordinator at LOROS said: "Thanks to everyone's generosity in sponsoring Tim.
The last 18 months have been an extremely difficult time for the Hospice and the support from individuals challenging themselves and raising much-needed funds for the Hospice, really is truly appreciated!"
