LOROS Walking Group walk St Oswald's Way

A team of 12 walkers and a minibus driver, successfully completed the 100-mile St Oswald's Way Walk at the end of June, raising more than £7,000 for LOROS, so far this year.

The LOROS Walking group averaged 13 miles per day, with plenty of sun, but also some heavy downpours!

Adrian, the leader of the group said: "One of the highlights was seeing a pod of dolphins just off the coast and the abundance of wildflowers everywhere."

Emma Jones, who is a Supporter Engagement Officer at LOROS added: "The trip sounds beautiful and I would like to say a huge thanks to all those who are a part of this group. I know some days are tough and wet and windy, and many miles are walked but we are so grateful for the support and all of the fundraising the group does."

The members consist of supporters, ex-employees and volunteers who have created the walking group and meet regularly throughout the year. They also take on extensive treks 3-4 times a year.
They are always open to others joining! If you’re interested please mail: fundraising@loros.co.uk enquiring about the LOROS Walking Group.
