The walk covers a gentle 5 miles of pathway and minor roads around the beautiful Eyebrook reservoir initially through a limited access nature reserve; much of the perimeter is an SSSI.
The reservoir is a major trout fishery, an important habitat for water birds of all types and has a historic connection to the Dambusters who practised over its surface prior to the Dams Raid in 1943. The walk will start from the lay-by alongside the reservoir below Stoke Dry between 1000 and 1200 on Sunday 18 Aug and should complete by 1400.
Dogs on leads are welcome.
