If you gift aid with us, you will know that we have to let you know how much you have raised from your donations and how much in additional gift aid we can claim.
This is something that His Majesty’s Revenue & Customs say we must do, not something that we do by choice.
We are desperately trying to save money on the cost of postage and whilst we sign up all new donors with an email, we still have a lot of records without an email .
The cost of posting out such high volumes runs into thousands, not even taking into account the cost of colour printing, envelopes, paper and staff time
I am looking for some very willing members of staff who like to walk, have a dog, need to get more steps in or just want to get out in the fresh air to volunteer to hand deliver letters for us.
You don’t have to commit to doing a whole village either, once the letters are sorted, you can have a look through the piles and pick the ones that are close.
This is a one-off trial and I’m not asking for any regular commitment but if you could spare some time on Monday 8th – Thursday 11th April that would be fab!
If you would like to help but are unable to hand-deliver, there will be a call-out to envelope the letters and sort into areas. Even if it’s just 10 minutes, every little helps and there will be biscuits!
If you can help at all, pop upstairs to see me, drop me an email or call me on ext. 6001.
I look forward to hearing from you!!
