Our Spring into Summer Raffle has now ended, after 7 fun weeks of raffle fundraising across our shops, events, out in the community and at the Hospice. Every single purchase contributed to the phenomenal amount of money that’s been raised to support our care.
We’re delighted to share with you that this year’s Spring Raffle has raised over £33,000 for LOROS, which is just an incredible amount of money in such a short space of time, and that’s thanks to our supporters and you!
We’ve shared the fantastic news with the £3,000 jackpot winner from Market Harborough. Big congratulations to him/her and to all of our winners who have been lucky enough to win prizes from gift vouchers up to the £1,000 second prize.
We wanted to take this opportunity to thank every single person who bought a ticket, or helped sell tickets out in the community. And finally, a big heartfelt thank you goes to David, who was a patient on our ward earlier this year, for sharing his very personal journey with us.
David's family joined us for the raffle reveal on Wednesday afternoon to share how much money David's story helped to raise for the Hospice. Paula, David’s sister said, upon hearing the amount raised: “David would be so proud”. Tracy, David’s other sister added: “Thank you to everyone at LOROS for all you do to support patients and families through their darkest days. You’re simply amazing!”
