Steve is already well known to us as an advisor to the newly established Income Generation and Marketing Committee. He was previously UK Director of Fundraising at Barnardo’s before transforming engagement and philanthropic giving as Director of Development at the Universities of Leicester and Bristol. He returned to the University of Leicester in 2020 as strategic advisor to the Vice Chancellor, Nishan Canagarajah, supporting the delivery of major institutional projects, securing new funding, and developing impactful collaborations with major philanthropic and community partners. Steve has a very significant level of leadership and board experience including charity fundraising and income generation.
Andrea is Chief Executive at Leicester Tigers, having formally been the Club’s Commercial Director and Chief Operating Officer. Andrea has had personal experiences of LOROS – her father died at the hospice a number of years ago, after which she volunteered on reception at weekends. Her commercial and overall leadership credential are very evident. She also talked impactfully about her considerable experience – which started before Tigers at Emirates Airlines - of embedding diversity and collaborative cultures within boards and top teams.
