This week three of our brilliant nurses in blue team were awarded a prestigious Cavell Star Award for their courage and quick thinking.
Following the collapse of a colleague, Savannah, Claire and Sian performed CPR and thanks to their professionalism and team work, she was successfully resuscitated and following a hospital stay is now recovering at home.
Liz Hunt, blue team leader said: “When you work as a nurse you know you may need to resuscitate a patient, but you never expect a colleague. Claire, Sian and Savannah, I have an immense sense of pride over your actions. On behalf of LOROS, thank you. We’re very lucky to have such dedicated staff.”
