Blue Stream learning system

I’m excited to announce the launch of Blue Stream, our new learning management system (LMS), designed to provide a more engaging and user-friendly way to access your online training. Blue Stream will replace Unicorn for all your mandatory and role-specific online training from the 1st March 2025.

Why are we moving our LMS? Unicorn has been our training provider for a number of years but is increasingly becoming a less cost effective solution for us. Blue Stream is a provider of UK healthcare training, in line with hospice CQC outcomes, which will offer us a more user-friendly way to access courses, certificates, PDRs, and policies.

Over the next few weeks there will be more communications and support in how to access and use the Blue Stream system. Look out for emails, Pin Board notices and briefings as we get closer to our migration deadline, and a quick start guide from mid-February.

What do I need to do? To prepare for the move to Blue Stream, there are a number of things you should start to do now:

From 24th January – This was our first cut off, any training courses completed will now need to be manually updated by the LOROS Centre for Excellence. Should you need to complete training after this date, please take a screen shot of your certificate for a manual update.

Before 1st March - Export and save all information stored in the Unicorn CPD Logs (where appropriate) and print out a paper copy of PDR conversations - Unicorn access will cease after this date, and data left in logs and PDRs will be lost.

Natalie has been hosting a series of friendly drop-in sessions where you can get support with saving your records from Unicorn. Everyone is welcome to attend, and no appointments are necessary! (please note: these sessions are all about helping you download or screenshot your records—they’re not training sessions for Bluestream).
