Our hero sculpture, 'Cellie-bration', is now beautifully painted and we've officially announced our brand-new art trail, Stomp Round Leicester! Thank you for keeping the elephant in the room with us.
Earlier this week we launched Stomp Round Leicester at our corporate event at Leicester Racecourse! Please spread the word about this new and exciting art trail as part of our 40th anniversary celebrations!
You may have seen Donna Newman painting our first elephant sculpture in the social area a few weeks back- she did an incredible job!
Donna explained the thinking behind this beautifully vibrant design:
"Meet ‘Cellie-bration’, the inaugural elephant for ‘Stomp round Leicester’, bursting onto the scene in an explosion of colour. The sculpture features multi-coloured confetti raining down over a vibrant depiction of the Leicester city skyline. Commemorating the 40th anniversary of LOROS, 40 elephants stomp their way around the sculpture linked by a continuous white line to symbolise community and connection. Each one is uniquely embellished with patterns as a reference to Leicester’s rich cultural tapestry. This kaleidoscopic creation will certainly make a mammoth impression on the trail!"
