On Wednesday 14th February, our Winter Warmer Raffle reveal took place at the Hospice. Laura and Clare, who kindly shared their heart-warming story with us in memory of their sister, joined us for the reveal alongside the family and Jenno's Coffee House one of our local business sponsors.
A big thank you to every one who bought a ticket, helped selling tickets and spreading the word and our amazing shops who sold an outstanding 6,000 tickets out in the community!
Here's a lovely quote from our £8,000 prize winner. She has been supporting us for around 24 years by playing the raffles and the Lottery, but she'd never won anything near this amount. Even better, she was celebrating her 80th birthday!
“I heard the lady on the phone say LOROS and then the raffle, but I didn’t put two and two together at first. Then I heard £8,000 and I was absolutely gobsmacked. When I put the phone down, I went to check my raffle pack, and call my son, just to be sure.
