I hope you will join me over the coming two months in thanking Professor Robin Graham-Brown who has decided that it is time to step down as Chair of Trustees at this year’s AGM on 25th November.
Robin re-joined the board in 2012, becoming Chair of Trustees in 2017. Under Robin’s leadership, LOROS has gone from strength to strength, extending services to patients and communities through the opening of new facilities such as our day therapy and learning and professional development centres, developing an important new strategic partnership with the University of Leicester, launching the LOROS Centre for Excellence as a focus for high quality teaching and research, strengthening support for patients in rural areas through our merger with Dove Cottage and always ensuring that the highest standards of care are provided to people across our communities.
On behalf of us all I would like to thank Robin for the very significant contribution he has made to our work. He will continue to be involved with LOROS in other ways in the future, of that I am sure, but will be greatly missed for the insight, leadership and warmth he has brought to our board discussions. I know you will join me in wishing him the very best for the future.
Robin will continue in his role as Chair of Trustees right up until the date of the AGM. Over the coming weeks we will be recruiting for a new Chair of Trustees and I look forward to being able to let you know the outcome of this process once an appointment has been made later in the year.
