You may remember that we shared that volunteer driver, David Hartridge, will be taking part in the LOROS Skydive on Saturday 21st September.
David has been busy over the past few months fundraising and even took a trip to BBC Radio Leicester to feature on the show! Ady Dayman, radio presenter, told David he was "radio gold"!
David told us: "The reason why I wanted to fundraise for LOROS is because I’m now in my 80th year and wanted to do something extreme. It also coincided with my 10-year anniversary of being a LOROS driver. Additionally, after my cancer diagnosis, being here has been so helpful to me, and I just wanted to say ‘thank you’. This skydive is the perfect way of doing it. When I told my doctor, he just smiled and told me to ‘not land too heavily'."
A massive thank you and good luck to David on his admirable adventure. David has now raised over £2,500 for LOROS which is still increasing by the day. There is still time to donate to David if you would like to. Just follow the link below.
