We'd like to say a warm welcome back to Jane Pickard, our new Director of Care Services!
For those of you who haven't yet met Jane, she joined LOROS in August 2024. Jane previously worked at LOROS as the Head of Inpatient Services 8 years ago. Jane has been qualified as a Registered Nurse for over 40 years and held several senior leadership roles within the NHS and the charity sector, with the most recent being the Macmillan Lead Cancer Nurse at Leicester’s Hospitals. Jane has also completed her MSc in Specialist Nursing Practice (Cancer) at De Montfort University.
Jane’s career has covered a variety of specialist areas including medicine, surgery, oncology, haematology, cancer care and palliative and end of life care services. Jane has led on the delivery of Personalised Care in cancer across Leicester Leicestershire and Rutland and is passionate about delivering holistic care to our patients and their families.
Jane said: "One of the things I love about LOROS is how welcoming everyone makes you feel when you are in the Hospice. Returning to LOROS, it was lovely to see both new and familiar faces at the Hospice. The care and compassion at LOROS is extraordinary and I am delighted to be back at LOROS as our Director of Care Services. Please pop by and meet me if you haven't already. I have an open-door policy and would love to meet all staff and volunteers."
