The most colourful way to raise money for LOROS Hospice is returning to the streets of Hinckley for 2015.

The Colourfun Mile is back, following a hugely successful event last year, which saw hundreds of people dig out their running shoes and get showered in powdered paint, all in the name of charity.

The run, which is open to all ages, will be taking place on Wednesday 17th June and will kick off at 6.45pm.

Colourfun Mile event co-ordinator at LOROS, Laura Fitzsawyer said: “I can’t wait for this year’s Colourfun Mile.

“Everyone had such a fun time last year. It’s great to see so many people, both children and adults, with huge smiles on their faces having a brilliant time, while raising money for LOROS at the same time.”

As the runners race through the town, they will enter various colour zones, where they will be showered in special powdered paint.

The event, which will be bursting with music, dancing and smiles, is set to be the brightest and most colourful charity run Leicestershire has ever seen.

“I’m looking forward to seeing the streets of Hinckley showered with colour once again,” added Laura.

“Get signed up now, this is sure to be the most colourful event in your calendar.”

Early bird price is £10 for adults and £5 for children, if you sign up before 31st May. Adults will be £15 and children £10 on the day. Participants will receive a free white t-shirt in their racepack when they sign-up.

Following the Colourfun Mile, this year’s Hinckley 5k will take place, starting at 7.30pm.
