This Girl Can, an event organised by Leicester-Shire & Rutland Sport has raised a superb £979 for LOROS.

Abbi, who was part of the organising team said: "275 ladies attended the sell-out event. This was an amazing opportunity for us to engage women in sport and physical activity and raise much needed funds for our local Hospice at the same time.

"I would like to say a huge thank-you to everyone who took part and to those who also bought LOROS scratch cards on the night. Alt textSpecial thanks must also go to the Instructors and helpers who offered their services free of charge."

Ali Ladak, the LOROS Complementary Therapist attended the event and provided participants with some of his wonderful sessions. He was fully booked raising £100 for LOROS.

Magdalena Korytkowska, Corporate Fundraising Co-ordinator at LOROS added "I’m delighted to hear that the event went so well.Alt text I have received wonderful feedback from the LOROS representatives who mentioned how well organised the event was, and how well they were hosted; which is very much appreciated.

"The money raised could pay for a whole two days of complementary therapy for our patients and carers.

"Thanks to everyone at Leicester-Shire & Rutland Sport for their amazing support and huge congratulations on a job so well done."
