The Run Leicester Festival, which took place on Sunday 11th October, celebrated its biggest ever event. With a record 5000 runners signed up for the sold out half marathon and 10K, the event has raised over £150,000 for LOROS Hospice, with the total set to grow as further donations come in.

40 giant elephants from LOROS Hospice’s Stomp Round Leicester art trail were auctioned off last night, raising a mammoth £286,800 for the charity.
LOROS Hospice has unveiled a special celebrity supporter of its new Stomp Round Leicester art trail. Artist Daft-apeth, aka Serge Pizzorno, lead singer of Leicester rock band Kasabian, has designed one of the 40 giant elephants that form the art trail.
Ellie, a member of our Marketing team at LOROS, will be taking the leap of a lifetime on Sunday 11th September for LOROS Hospice in memory of her Grandad, Harry Thornton. Harry was a patient at LOROS following a mesothelioma cancer diagnosis in late 2005. The cancer was aggressive and Harry died in August 2006. LOROS Hospice has shared the impact of their 2021 flagship fundraising event, Rocket Round Leicester. Throughout the summer of 2021, LOROS presented the city’s biggest art trail and today have announced that a total profit of £317,141 was raised for specialist patient care.
