Shake off your Christmas dinner by taking part in this year’s annual Winter Walk for LOROS

For the 38th year, villagers of Houghton on the Hill and friends will once again be setting out on a five mile walk across beautiful Leicestershire countryside.

Soldier braves sub zero temperatures and knee injury to complete 100-mile charity walk around Leicestershire

A Leicestershire soldier completed a 100-mile charity walk around the county despite twisting a knee on an icy path in temperatures of -7C.

X Factor winner Sam Bailey joins fellow panto’ cast members to draw LOROS Winter Raffle winner before revealing £105,000 has been raised

X Factor winner and singing sensation Sam Bailey, children’s TV presenter Richard McCourt, best known for being ‘Dick’ in the famous duo ‘Dick and Dom’ and BBC Radio Leicester presenter Martin Ballard, kindly took time out of rehearsals to help with the draw yesterday.

LOROS becomes the first organisation in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland to be awarded communications training accreditation

LOROS Hospice has become the first organisation in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland to be able to deliver communications training to fellow healthcare professionals to help them better support distressed patients and their families.

Charities that are set to benefit this year include: Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People, LOROS, Dementia UK, Alzheimer’s Society, and Prostaid.

Wainwright’s Coast to Coast Walk for LOROS - September 2018

Anyone who has been inspired by Alfred Wainwright’s walks, or the TV series with Julia Bradbury, may be interested in taking up the challenge of joining a team from LOROS in walking in Wainwright’s footsteps on the Coast to Coast Trek 2018.

A mother is supporting this year’s LOROS Winter Raffle by telling how her young daughter was able to spend one last Christmas with her terminally ill great-grandmother thanks to the Hospice.

Hollywood superstar Stephen Graham becomes Patron of LOROS Hospice and kicks off by raising nearly £2,500

Hollywood icon Stephen Graham and his actress wife Hannah Walters have become Patrons of LOROS after an ‘inspirational’ visit to the Hospice led them to embark on two weeks of bucket collecting, which raised nearly £2,500.
