Congratulations to the Coleorton Support Group, who have been tirelessly fundraising for over 25 years and have raised over £150,000 for LOROS
The challenge is simple enough, each team were given £50 and tasked with ‘’growing’’ the money in any way they could over a 3 month period. 20 teams proved successful and together raised the incredible sum of £6000, which is equivalent to the cost of a LOROS Community Nurse Specialist being able to visit 65 terminally ill patients in their homes in Leicester, Leicestershire or Rutland.
LOROS representatives were busy this week visiting the winners of the LOROS Accumulator Challenge 2014. Our first meeting was with The Plant Man who were the winners of the ‘Most Innovative Idea and today we visited the British Gas Business Complains Team who won the award for ‘Most Money Raised’.
As part of the PHSE and Citizenship Course Year 9 Pupils at Leysland High School in Countesthorpe chose LOROS as their chosen charity for their recent Charities Afternoon.
Sean Quinn recently cycled from Leicester to Skegness as part of the LOROS team.
