On Wednesday 15th April staff from LOROS Hospice are heading to Westminster as part of Hospice UK’s Day of Action.
A nurse at LOROS Hospice who treated her patient “with the same care and love as you would do your own family member” has been recognised with the first DAISY award in a hospice setting in the UK.
LOROS Hospice has announced that more beds are to reopen on its inpatient ward thanks to additional funding from the NHS, but seven more are required to meet demand.

In late November, four additional beds were opened on LOROS Hospice’s inpatient ward thanks to short-term winter pressures funding. Due to end in March, this funding has already enabled 17 patients to receive the specialist palliative care they urgently needed.
